Susan Drobis

Susan Drobis LICSW is a psychotherapist and trainer in private practice for over thirty years in Washington, D.C., where she works with individuals, couples and groups and teaches and supervises clinicians. Susan is inspired and energized by the power and creativity of a variety of mind –body tools including Somatic Experiencing, Ego State Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy, EMDR, Somatic Imagery and Mindfulness, and integrates them with self-psychology, object relations, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Susan also teaches and coaches clients in mindfulness skills.

In addition to teaching at CHI, Susan leads workshops, groups and classes on Mindfulness Meditation, Somatic Imagery, relaxation, creativity, and stress reduction and on the partnership of mindfulness and psychotherapy. She has given professional trainings to groups including The Psychotherapy Networker, National Association of Social Workers, Metro NASW, Montgomery County Commission for Women and Greater Washington Society of Clinical Social Workers. She has been practicing Mindfulness Meditation for the past 20 years.
