When Talk Therapy is Not Enough
This weekend training presents the basic concepts and techniques for implementing Somatic Imagery in ongoing clinical practice. Participants experience first-hand the power of this modality to access unconscious material (both affective and cognitive) to interrupt old patterns, and to add energy and vitality to therapeutic work. Through experiential exercises participants will be guided in developing their own Somatic Imagery process.
Learning outcomes include basic concepts and facilitation techniques for optimizing the effectiveness of Somatic Imagery in clinical practice for a broad range of therapeutic challenges, including:
- Exploratory, diagnostic and dynamic work;
- Problem solving and conflict resolution;
- Ego strengthening and supportive therapy;
- Trauma resolution;
- Stress and anxiety reduction; and
- Pain relief.
